FI SLICE

Background

The Finance Transformation Programme (FTP) is a portfolio of change programmes the objective of which is to rationalise and improve the provision of Finance Services to the Wholesale Client Services (WCS) organisation.

This will include the development of the sub ledger application, the Sub Ledger Integrated Control Environment (SLICE). The SLICE project will form the interface between FOBO applications and the General Ledger, removing the reliance on custom-built databases and spreadsheets.

About FI SLICE

Release 1 of SLICE is aligned to another FID initiative, Raider, which is designed to bring the FID systems onto a central Murex platform. This is being undertaken in a phased system approach. Release 1 of SLICE is designed to provide a financial ledger to support the Murex (previously Infinity) product set namely:

Swaps
Options (OTC)
Foreign Exchange
Loans & Deposits
FRAs
Cash Flows

The subsequent releases of SLICE will include within scope all the Release 1 products, all non-Murex Fixed Income Derivatives (FID) products, e.g. credit derivatives and structured products, and Fixed Income (FI) products including:

Bonds
Repos
Exchange Traded Futures and Options (ETFOs)
